AIFWAW’17 LOOK BOOK Posted on March 19, 2017Leave a comment

I always say that I love experimenting with my looks but I like to do it in my own subtle way and that was exactly what I did during this season of AIFWAW’17. It was a 4-day rendezvous flooded with creativity both on and off the runway.  My looks for all the days were inspired by the current trends along with a lot of inspiration from my favorite bloggers across the globe.

Ruffles have been trending all over the world and I couldn’t help but include them in my outfit. I wore my ruffled skirt as a top and paired it with my favorite flared denim. Did a little DIY with colorful hair scrunchies and added a simple crossbody bag.

For my hair, I did a half french braid on one side and a thin reverse braid on the other. Tied the two together with bobby pins and curled the rest of my hair. My skin has been going through a very rough phase so I’ve kept all my makeup look really minimal.

I have been planning to wear something like this for the longest time now and when I saw  Chiara Ferragni wearing something along those lines, I knew that I had to do it. I wore a simple mesh dress with floral applique on it. I wore the dress backward so that I could wear it as a v-neck dress. I added a yellow belt for a more defined waist.

However, the best part of the whole look were my faux fur heels! They were s actually a DIY and I couldn’t be more happy with the result! Kept the hair loose for a while then tied them into a low bun with some floral details.

I would happily call this look as ‘Grunge Barbie’. Mixed some grungy vibes with the ever so delicate tulle skirt embellished with small pearls(DIY)  and a lace bralette.I wore sneakers with a black and white bow attached to my laces(which was again, a DIY )

For my hair, I kept almost all of it open and made two tiny space buns on either side of my hair. Added a little faux fur pompom (A DIY yet again)and a dark plum lipstick.

Talking some major trends this season, my outfit for Day 4 was a mix and match of a lot of little elements. I got a mesh top stiched from a tailor and wore a denim bustier with it and that gave it an illusion of a peplum top which  I totally loved. Paired it with white palazzos and added Indian Ethnic Accessories to the otherwise modern, ‘trendy’ outfit. I wore a pair of mustard yellow hand made leather kolhapuris.

Would love to give a huge shoutout to Krafted With Happiness for the gorgeous earrings and an even wonderful hand made duffle bag which was totally the highlight of my whole look and got me a lot of praises.
