#TrendTalk : How To Wear Yellow

#TrendTalk : How To Wear Yellow Posted on March 21, 2017Leave a comment

It’s 11:47 p.m and all I can think of is this post and my blog. I started my blog a year and a half ago and I feel that I’ve put out really less content than I should have. I’m being really honest here and I always feel bad for not being able to/not generating enough content for something that I love so much. I have been juggling so many things ever since the time I started this blog but that is not any justification. I know I’m better than that and capable of doing so much more and that is what I will do from now on. I know I’ve said this a lot of times but only I mean it.

I’m a firm believer in doing quality work and would prefer that over quantity any day which is why so many of my posts get rejected by me before I even upload them.  Like, what’s the point of posting content that you’re not very proud of? There are times when I do things in haste and they don’t end up being what I expect them to be and that’s wrong. That’s the kind of stuff, I try to avoid but it happens sometimes and I think that’s okay. I do try to avoid it as much as I can.

That’s it for my little(okay, not so little) self-rant. Moving on, I’m going to talk trends today. Yellow has been trending all over the world and honestly, it’s high time we gave this color its fair share of love and popularity! I believe that there’s a shade of yellow for everyone. Sadly, I can only show you the shades that work well with my skin tone.

I have always loved yellow as a kid but have also been skeptical about wearing it since it’s a task to pull it off.  I picked up a mustard-ish yellow lace skirt and paired it with the safest color(black). Since the skirt had lace on it   I decided to go for a lace bralette. That’s the trick that I use often. Mixing different colors in the same cloth material can work out amazingly well as it blends the pieces together into one complete outfit.

I added a lighter shade of yellow with my heels(which were custom made btw, find it here ) and dainty accessories. I also added a pair of clear frames to add more fun to the outfit and kept my hair open and that was it! I feel that yellow is really underrated and I really hope that people wear it more, now that it has become a global trend!

Here’s how it looks –
