DIY : ETHNIC WEAR FROM SCRATCH

DIY : ETHNIC WEAR FROM SCRATCH Posted on September 13, 20178 Comments

We all feel the pressure of deciding what to wear, especially during the festive season. I know so many people who don’t own even a single piece of ethnic clothing and then when some festival approaches, they go crazy trying to figure out their outfits. While buying something new every time doesn’t seem feasible, who says that you can’t wear something new? It’s confusing, I know.

My trick for these days is to use jumpsuits! They’re such a versatile piece of clothing and wearing them as a suit has become my most favorite thing ever. You get the comfort of a jumpsuit and the beauty of a suit at the same time. It’s simple, find a matching dupatta(I steal my mum’s) and jewelry and viola! It’s that easy!

Your hair and makeup also make a huge difference in your entire look. I love keeping my hair open and adding my favorite bindi! For easier understanding, I’ve put together 2 simple looks that you could rock this festive season.

FOR A DAY FUNCTION: WHITE RUFFLED JUMPSUIT + COLORFUL DUPATTA + PASTEL HEELS + STATEMENT EARRINGS

I wore this outfit for an office function and I got so many compliments for it! The best part? Most people couldn’t even guess that it’s a suit! πŸ˜›

FOR A NIGHT FUNCTION: RED JUMPSUIT + PRINTED DUPATTA + BIG METALLIC JHUMKIS + NATH + BLACK BLOCK HEELS

This outfit is perfect for wedding functions and is actually on my ‘to-wear’ list for the Diwali parties haha. Best part? Looks good on all body types!

That was it for this post. I hope this helped you guys. It has solved my dressing up problems and hopefully, it’ll solve yours too. Let me know what you think about it in the comment section below. You can also send me a message on my Instagram / Facebook Page.

Lots of love and outfits,
